A very hardy large shrub with masses of lightly perfumed flowers that attract birds, native bees and butterflies. Medium sized dark violet flower spikes in summer.Use as a screening plant, small hedge or specimen plant in cottage garden. Tolerates coastal planting. Give medium prune after flowering.
